Code Enforcement

The City of San Pablo incorporates a variety of uniform codes into the city codes. The Uniform Codes allow the Code Enforcement Unit to abate nuisances using the California Building Code, California Plumbing Code, California Electrical Code, California Mechanical Code, California Fire Code, Uniform Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, Uniform Sign Code, Uniform Housing Code, and the Uniform Administrative Code.

A Police Sergeant supervises the unit under the direction of the Patrol Commander. Civilian code enforcement officers, a building inspector, and a police services assistant provide the resources necessary to mount a comprehensive approach to resovling complex, multi-faceted, issues relating to public safety and quality of life, or "beat health". You may speak with a member of the unit by calling (510) 215-3018.

Helmets are available for purchase from the Code Enforcment Division of the San Pablo Police Department.  They comes in size small, medium, and large and cost $4.00, a fitting is included.
