The San Pablo Police Department is a full service community-based law enforcement agency, consisting of fifty-seven (57) sworn police officers and twenty-one (21) civilian employees.

The agency's Administration is separated into three major divisions;  Patrol, Investigations, and Support Services; and managed by the Chief of Police, a Captain, three Lieutenants, and ten Sergeants.

Patrol

Uniformed patrol teams respond to all calls for service from the public and provide crisis intervention when necessary.  Sub-divisions of Patrol include:

Investigations

Provides advanced follow up investigations of all Part I criminal offenses and/or other assigned cases.  Sub-divisions of Investigations include:

  • Special Investigations/Casino Liaison
  • Gang Reduction and Intervention Program (G.R.I.P.)
  • West-Net Narcotic Task Force
  • Youth and Education Services (Y.E.S.) Unit

Support Services

Controls distribution and maintenance of all police records and data entry.  Sub-divisions of Support Services include:
